What is wrong with my mail address ?
Nothing ! .. You just have a paranoid ISP
I run my own mail server and since I don't wanna pay $40 extra per month to own my IP-address *just* to accommodate the paranoia of a few rigid ISP's, I am using one of my ISP's pooled IP's. Pooled IP addresses are by certain mail providers per default blacklisted and stamped as potential spam hosts. This effectively prevents my mail server from reaching mailbox holders of these providers. You could say that instead of blocking those on a blacklist, they block everybody not on their whitelist. There's no way for me to get my mail server on the whitelist without owning my own IP address.
Why should I care ?
For starters, getting registered here is close to impossible without having an email sent to you as this is how you activate your account. Even if you don't care about notification mails on private messages and the sort, getting emails from the Event Signup System may be something you don't want to miss out on

Don't miss that email that told you about a canceled event.
How do I fix it ?
You can complain to your ISP and try to make them change their practice, or put "mail.mistmoore.net" on their whitelist .. That's just not very likely.
Instead, my advise to you is to set up a (free) GMail account to act as a mail forwarder. This account will simply be a relay to your normal e-mail address and GMail's powerful spam filter will make sure that only legit email is forwarded to you.
Once you've done registering with Google, login to your new account and go into the Settings and find the tab called Forwarding and POP/IMAP

Input your normal email address in the first field and save your settings. You can now log off your GMail and forget about it.
Other free web-mail providers like live.com and yahoo.com may offer you the same service if you prefer (and all of them work fine with my mail server).
Now, last step, go back here to the forums and/or the ESS and change the email address to your new relay address.
There, all done
