There is none! .. Please read on to learn why.
The Event Signup System is an ongoing process - a hobby project if you will - our ours. We have coded the system, and keep doing so because we have a need for it and because it's fun. We also don't want to wrap this project in a lot of red tape in regards to release plans, distribution packages etc. which is why we do not offer the source code up for download. As such, the ESS becomes proprietary software, except .. We won't give you the source code even if you offer us money for it.
Since we aren't coding this system to make money of it (that's what we have our day-time jobs for and what keeps this fun and worth doing) we offer you this site instead as a means for you to utilize the system without having to place an investment first, we do however acknowledge that the shared, community based model for some player groups just isn't enough to accommodate their special configuration needs which is why we have put a hosting plan in motion. The plan entails a monthly subscription fee of US $10.00 for which you get a whole lot more than "just" the ESS.
So why charge a fee at all .. Didn't You just say you weren't in this for the money?
Because offering up one installation for everybody to use (which guildevents.net is) is a whole lot easier and less expensive than setting up a separate installation for everybody who comes along. Believe it or not, but keeping domains active and hardware running, not to mention providing the necessary bandwidth available doesn't come free on our end. Charging a symbolic fee for what you get seems both fair and reasonable to us so we hope you agree too.
